If you’ve turned on the TV or read a magazine in the past two months, you know skin cancer is bad news. I’m not even going to get into it. If you want the scary details and pictures of moles, click here. But the fact is, I know you know.
So you know you have to wear SPF daily, but finding the right one for you requires a lot of trial and error. But once you find the right kind, it’s a lot easier to protect yourself. I know I’ve avoided wearing SPF daily because I didn’t find a moisturizer with SPF that felt right on my skin–too greasy. But I finally found some products that I love, and I feel really good now that I’m protected, so I thought I’d share. When looking for a sunscreen, I have two requirement: high SPF and non-greasy.
For everyday use, I use Dr. Pat Wexler Daily Defense Antioxidant Tinted Moisturizer (available at Bath & Body Works). The key with this, I’ve found, is putting it on about 20 minutes before I do my makeup. Then I use a little concealer under my eyes and Bare Minerals foundation. This is a great line, but I use it mostly in summer because it’s so lightweight (it also contains SPF). I am amazed by how glowy this combo made me look! If you are looking for a less expensive option, Neutrogena Healthy Defense (tinted or untinted) has always done the job for me as well!
OK so that’s that. Now when we talk about summer fitness, I’m going to assume you’re all protected, because now you have no excuse!
Any other great SPF products you want to share in the comments? You know I love to try something new!
