We all know Starbucks serves temptation right along with espresso. Sure, there are low-calorie options, but there are also the delicious-sounding lattes and mochas that make us truly believe we can find happiness in the bottom of a grande cup. (Under the whip, of course.) Sometimes, you just want that sweet drink!
When I was at ELLE, we sent interns on coffee runs a lot. Hey, there were some long stressful days when it really did seem like a warm drink would make our brains hurt a little less! Around this time last year, I was trying to cut back on caffeine and expensive drinks, so my very lovely intern Cassidie suggested an amazing option to me. It’s been my go-to ever since!
A grande White Berryblossom tea with sugar-free vanilla and a spalsh of milk/soymilk.
It tastes like a blueberry muffin.
It got me through hellish days in the closet.
It costs less than $2.
It’s pretty much magical. I love it because it’s so creamy without any bitterness! It also won’t stain your teeth! Now that it’s getting colder, I’ve been drinking it again, and it makes me seriously happy every time.
It also inspired me to have the barista add one pump of pumpkin to Wild Sweet Orange Tea which is equally exciting and a good fall treat!
Tea is healthy, cheap, and has less caffeine than coffee (the sweet orange doesn’t have any, so that’s what I get when I head to Starbs after dark), so it’s a great option. With the Berryblossom, you will not feel like you’re missing out — and you’ll save a whole latte cash and calories! (Sorry. Couldn’t resist.)
