Actually measuring servings is a good habit to be in, and one way to reinforce that behavior is to put the measuring tool right in the box! Think about it: protein powder comes with a scoop so you get the right size. Do you ever find yourself adding a ridiculous amount of protein powder to your smoothie? No. You take the scoop or two and move on. So…why not do the same thing with your other go-to foods??
Next time you’re out, hit the dollar store for some measuring cups and spoons. Put them in your cereal, your pasta box, your ice cream carton, your bag of almonds, or any other place you might be tempted to go buckwild. Try to get used to scooping out just that amount — pretty soon, it will look like a normal serving and you won’t think twice about it.
