haha, I’ve been through some of these stages. People wanna know what i’m eating but now they wanna make fun of my healthy eats too.

This is the first time I’ve had a chance to watch Shed Theather, and I just have to say – you are just as fabulous talking into a camera as you are typing into your blog. Love it!

Lol, great video and so true. I had a co-worker, that I didn’t even like, hand me a business card for a plastic surgeon so that when I was done with my weight loss I could get the excess fat/skin taken off. People have nerve!!
Again fab vid honey!! God this is sooo tough for people, I always have to warn my clients about these positive energy drainers! People love to hate and when other people are making a positive change, the haters can’t deal!! Someone once said to me, “I think you’re a false advertisement for fitness – no matter what I do, I’m never gonna look like you” Excuses, excuses! Stop being an ass, and get off your ass, we all do!! It’s like, train hard, and eat right, and when you’re happy with your bod (AND YOURSELF), you’re not gonna give a damn about what mine looks like! Sheeesh!! Keep singin’ it Rach!

That last line “When you’re happy with your body you’re not gonna give a damn about what mine looks like”…SO TRUE!! Secure and confident women can handle it and be happy for their friends when they do something good for themselves!!
“If they’re going to call you a skinny bitch behind your back, you might as well act like one!” LOVE IT!!
Rachel, your Shed Theater keeps getting better and better! This was SO my life when I got to goal three and a half years ago. I’m so glad it wasn’t just me :D
It certainly was one of the hardest things about getting healthy, having to deal with the positive energy drainers. I think one of the the worst incidents was hearing a (now ex) friend saying that I’d “swapped a big body for a big ego”! Gee, God forbid I should actually be proud of myself for losing 66 pounds and getting fit enough to run a half marathon! ;)
It really is all about THEM and their feelings of guilt or inadequacy or failure, or whatever. We’re proving to them that all their excuses for failing to improve their physique or health are exactly that – excuses.
Keep up the great work darl and have a fab weekend x

I had a feeling that a lot of other people could relate to how hurtful it is when people start acting like your body is their business!! Thanks for the compliment, and the comment!!
Love, love, love this video! Just found your blog today and i’m definitely a fan now!
Last year I lost 40lbs (big change for a short chick) and all that stuff is so ridiculously true! “Hey baby, didn’t give you the time of day in high school but now I want your fine-ass” lol. Aaaand the creepy old men (hey, 19 is still too young when you’re 80) definitely didn’t get their attention before. Way to embrace it! I’m still working on confidence myself, so your blog is such an inspiration. Thanks! :)
