Here’s an idea! Let’s combine the two best things imaginable.
Ingredients
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
6 slices bacon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 tps baking soda
This Is How We Do It
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Fry up the bacon and then set it aside to cool.

Once it is cooled, dice it up.
Combine the sugars and peanut butter and mix for about two minutes.
I used Jif all-natural PB for this recipe!

My first time using it and I really liked it! It tastes exactly like regular Jif, which is my preferred PB. Definitely a worthwhile swap!
Add the egg and baking soda to the PB mixture and combine for another minute or two. Then fold in the diced bacon.

Roll the dough into walnut sized balls and then use a fork to flatten into a criss-cross pattern.

Bake for 10 minutes, until the cookies are lightly browned.
The soundtrack for this recipe was the Black Kids’ album, mainly this song over and over on repeat.
The kitchen became a fabulous discotheque while I did the dishes while the cookies baked.
When the cookies are done, let cool for five minutes, if you can bear it.

When I came across this recipe on Joy the Baker, there was no doubt in my mind I needed to make these cookies ASAP. They are really quick and easy, with so few ingredients. (They’re also gluten-free!) And well, the taste…smoky, salty, and sweet. Basically, what I seek in every bite…ever.

These are an instant hit, like bacon-wrapped dates. However, there will most definitely be people who do not see the genius of this combo at first, who are doubtful. But, as Kevin G says…”Don’t let the haters stop you from doin’ your thang.”

Have a great night!

Kevin G!!!! Bahahaha I <3 the Mathletes.
I think Jessica from How Sweet It Is made something like this the other day – I remember her telling me about it. Kind of freaks me out to have a cookie with bacon in it – not going to lie! However I will try anything so maybe I will get brave enough to try to make these!

i went nuts over Christmas and made bacon-chocolate-white chocolate-caramel-peanut butter cookies but i don’t think i fried the bacon long enough for them.
i’d make these, but then i’d eat every last one!
very creative, though.
i made these cookies back in september, but added chocolate pieces in as well – brought them to a bbq and they were a huge hit. everyone was skeptical of them at first, but after trying them they were all believers.
