One way I get myself do sweaty, fast, bang-it-out workouts is by putting fast songs on my ipod. I just can’t help myself; when these songs come on, I crank it up a notch. If I want to do a tempo run, I put on a whole playlist of these songs, but you don’t have to do that. Simply staggering them throughout your workout playlist can really help you pick it up here and there. These are some of my favorite songs for those moments!

I always end on a fast song too. When I do this in my spin classes, I tell my students it’s the end so they shouldn’t save anything. Give it your all, go your fastest, make it work…you’re already sweaty and it’ll all be over soon enough, so you might as well exhaust yourself.
