Hump Day Treat: Cinnamon Crisps

Like I said on Monday, I was eager to start making recipes from So Easy. This was one of my first on the list!

Ingredients

10 Wonton wrappers

2 tsp canola oil

1 tsp powdered sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

This is How We Do It

Preheat the oven to 375. Cut the wonton wrappers in half so you have 20 triangles.

Carefully drizzle the wrappers with the oil and toss gently so each piece is well-coated.

Bake for 10 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. (Watch them, they can quickly overcook!)

Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

The recipe didn’t call for cinnamon, but I realized that that addition was perfect, and I highly recommend them. They totally taste like Taco Bell’s cinnamon twists…and since it was taco night, I was all up on that. I wasn’t crazy about them with just the sugar, but with the cinnamon, they were light and crunchy and so flavorful.

Three ingredients. Fifteen minutes. Perfection.

I make these all time. In fact, I have a package of wonton wrappers ready to go that I bought last week. Great minds think alike! Lol! I spray a little canola oil (you can get a spray bottle from Pampered Chef and have your own “Pam” spray) and then sprinkle with a cinnamon & sugar mix. I like the sweetness and they’re still low in calories. :)

When I was little, my mom used to put cinnamon and sugar on the leftover pie crust dough and bake it in the oven for me. It was a great treat! Your recipe reminds me of that. :)
