What’s Your F-f-f-f-Fitness Fantasy?

by Rachel on April 4, 2010

This week’s Outside the Box Challenge was to describe your dream workout. Here’s mine…

  • A morning workout in Washington, D.C.! It would be in late October 2012. October is my favorite month of the year, and lots of celebs would be in town to support Obama in the upcoming election.
  • First, I’d teach a 45-minute spin class which would include some of my friends and my spin regulars, but would also include some of my favorite celebs, including Eva Mendes, Oprah, and Seth Rogen. They’d love taking my classes when they visited D.C. — because they’d know I am the most fun but still challenging instructor ther. — but this would be their first time all attending my class together.
  • After the intense and fun spin class in a studio overlooking the Mall — during which I’d break into a light glow that miraculously did not cause my hair or clothes to get wet at all — we’d go to an adjacent studio where Core Fusion guru Fred Devito would teach a 45-minute Core Fusion class.
  • After spinning and Core Fusion, Eva and I would go get smoothies and pedicures and talk about what we were going to be for Halloween.

If it was a Ludacris song, it would be something like…

I wanna get you in D.C. on a bike

Show you what my class is like

Celebrities will all be there

And I won’t even mess my hair

Errybody loves my class

And then Fred D. kicks all our ass…

Don’t forget you have until midnight tonight to enter this week’s challenge! Submit your entries on the Tumblr blog to be entered to win one of two $60 home workout kits from SPRI!

I LOVE Luda!!! One of my fav artists! Oh and since I’m in DC I should get into the habit of working out outdoors. The views are great and the weather is beautiful. Great post! :D

You fitness fantasy is perfect except for one thing — there is no way a Core Fusion class could ever be 45 minutes AND cover everything needed to kick your butt!

@Dori — I figured after a 45 minute spin class, we wouldn’t be able to handle a full out CF class!

@Honeebee — If you click on the link in the first line of that post, it will take you to the original post, which has the details on how to enter!

That’s it, I’m going Core Fusion dvd shopping tomorrow. I’ve been reading your rave reviews about it for awhile and finally tried their 10 min abs and arms youtube video. It was tough! But I really liked it, only it was such a pain in the ass trying to follow off my laptop. Now which dvd to buy first?

@Ruby — I get this question all the time and I always have a really long-winded response, but I think I’m just going to say that I’d buy Body Sculpt first, but Pilates Plus is REALLY great too! And if you have any other workouts you love for lower body, then I’d recommend arms and abs.

Can’t wait to hear what you think!

Will you please come to DC and teach a spin class anyway… this year?? Also, there is nothing like running around the monuments!

I would LOVE that!! I keep going back and forth on moving to D.C. and I’m kinda stuck till I sell my book, but if (when?!) I leave MI, I think I’m heading to the District!!
