So About Last Night…

by Rachel on April 8, 2010

Ugh. I am really struggling today. It is what I call a “working from bed” day. Since I already work at home, this means I’ve downgraded from yoga pants to men’s basketball pants. However, I can still consider it working because I am catching up on e-mails and I’m wearing a bra.

LAMEBut I’m getting ahead of myself! Let’s get back to how I ended up in this state…well, performers got free drinks.

So I had to get warmed up…

And I had to celebrate being done…

And I had to go out with my friends after the show…

comedy setYupppp.

Days like this are approx 70 percent sleep deprivation and 30 percent hangover. Why does my body wake up at 6 AM and refuse to nap?! Why why why???

When I opened my fridge for breakfast this morning, I really wondered if a DiGiorno 200 Calorie Pizza was a legit breakfast. (The answer: yes, on occasion. But I had a homemade McMuffin and fruit instead. Homemade because I did not bone but also because it was actually a super healthy breakfast that sounded tolerable.)

I survived breakfast but the universe is testing me. Right now, I’m having a mental Ultimate Smackdown.

I am bound and determined that the bikini and the Core Fusion Challenge is going to win this round, but it’s not going to be easy. I seriously want to bury myself in lo mein right now, but I’m going to attempt to make a healthy alternative “fried” rice with some Honest Tea in the meantime.

I’ll be back later with a recap of the show and a video of my set (slowed down due technical difficulties, not my state of Struggs). Please send out a prayer of support for Team Bikini in the meantime!

Ugh I hate when I wake up early when I’m hungover. I know I need to sleep but I just can’t!

You should make Ellie Krieger’s Shrimp Fried Rice! I think it tastes better than regular Chinese food!

Congrats on your sweet comedy show!

Go team bikini!
I have a similar neckline on my shirt. I have to be careful when I’m studying in the library because I tend to hunch over with my face pressed into the books. That can also mean some other things get squished into the books, haha.

Seriously…

We go to bed happy b/c we staved off our drunken eating cravings (or at least made a semi-healthy snack choice)…only to wake up with HANGOVER HUNGER.

But way to go on keeping your eyes on the bikini prize and still making yummy food.

Also do you drink GT’s Kombucha tea? It’s a wonder drink, especially when you’ve had a rough night.

How about an old-school Rachel Bowl, done Chinese-style? So much you can do with some veggies, brown rice, and hoisin and soy sauce… Come on, I’m pulling for you! (Says girl who had husband hide the tortilla chips when he left the house today).
