Good morning and happy Thirsty Thursday!! Today I thought I’d show you how I solved my morning coffee/sugar problem.
I’m pretty excited about this because my coffee is now sugar-free and fake sugar-free. It’s creamy without tasting like a Krispy Kreme. Just using whole milk was a good start, but I like the volume that frothing the milk adds to the drink…and the frothed milk is significantly sweeter! This morning I sprinkled dark chocolate on top too which was pretty damn tasty. I also just had the realization that I could shave some Vosges chocolate on top too. Venti foodgasm, anyone?
The other thing I wanted to point out is that when you use more milk, instead of just a weak “but I don’t want it to have calories!” splash of skim, you can really turn your cup of coffee into a snack or a meaningful part of your meal. I always tell people to start with a latte and almonds if they aren’t a breakfast person. The thing is, coffee drinks can actually be pretty good for you. You get calcium, filling protein, and, if you make it like this, you’re getting deliciously satisfying fat. Frothing a half-cup of whole milk to make a drink at home will give you the same amount of calories as a tall skim latte from the ‘Bucks, but it’ll be cheaper and more satisfying.
(Side rant: I’m pissed Starbucks got rid of whole milk but really talks up their sugar-free syrups. Missing the point, Starbies, missing the whole point.)
Anyway, if you want to own a milk vibrator, even though it looks kinda like an anal probe, mine is the Aerolatte To Go (which is way cheaper on Amazon than it is at Bed, Bath & Beyond, even when you account for my terrible math skills).
It also works for milkshakes and hot chocolate, so I’m pretty excited to experiment with it a little more! (Not experiment in other ways though, ya creeps. There are toys for that.)
