About Last Night…

by Rachel on November 11, 2010

It started off innocently enough…

Which led to the South American steakhouse…

Somehow, several glasses of wine led to a very passionate discussion about the best songs from the 90s, which then led us home, and to iTunes, where I shared my favorite 90s song: Caress Me Down by Sublime.

What is it about that song that just makes a girl want to dry hump?

I woke up at 3 AM craving ice water and grilled cheese sandwiches. Oh, I know that feeling.

Oh, and one of these, thanks to Sublime…

Which then led to this series of questions…

Which we passed, with flying colors.

So that led to a second date at McDonald’s.

It was about 1o percent of the cost of the previous date but 100 percent as satisfying.

The whole event brought back such fond memories of being single, I gave him an awkward hug in the McDonald’s parking lot this morning and told him to just Facebook me.

haha it’s like we have a secret language…for sluts!

Lmao. That is awesome. I never made it to the McDonald’s parking lot. “Bangovers” for me usually ended in the wee hours of the morning, as I stumbled out of the hotel room or strange house he he.

I suppose in that sense, I employed the “bang and run” method. You should write about that. :p

That was my M.O. in college! I may have earned the nickname “Hit It & Quit It All-Star.”

Lol. That’s awesome. Clearly, that’s why you seem wise beyond your years. I long ago formed a hypothesis that women’s wisdom increases by the number of hit it and quit its.

(That concept does not apply to men. In fact, the effect is just the opposite, curiously enough.)

You crack my shit up. <3 Sounds like a good date night/morning after.

Caress me Down is the best 90s song.
And the best sublime song

it’s just…oddly sexy.

also, mcdonald’s really should serve breakfast everyday, for those hangover needs

NOTHING cures a hangover quite like grease. Love me some McDonalds breakfast!

14 Manon November 11, 2010 at 4:56 pm

This is awesome. It makes me want to go make very bad decisions :)

15 Jennifer@ knackfornutrition November 11, 2010 at 5:12 pm

Oh those nights. You know it was good if it ends with greasy food the next morning. :)

16 MelissaNibbles November 11, 2010 at 5:16 pm

That song would turn me right off. But you get yours girl!

You are amazing. ‘Nuff said.

18 Dori November 11, 2010 at 10:30 pm

I always wondered what exactly it is about the combination of egg and cheese that makes it both the perfect hangover AND bangover cure. Seriously, why is this?

19 Elisabeth November 12, 2010 at 2:22 pm

Yeah…I used to love that song passionately…

Until my brother joined an awesome cover band and became the designated “singer of all Sublime songs”. I still love the song, but it has a slightly different effect these days.

20 Kristine November 13, 2010 at 10:09 am

You are hilarious. That is all!

Video 2 was great!

And while I qualify for a trip to McD’s I would choose a shake or sundae. I better not explain further than that…
