Project Tasteless Challenges #5 & 6

by Rachel on November 17, 2010

Let’s do it!

I’m going to go ahead and announce the next two challenges at the same time!

Project Tasteless Challenge #5: I Am, in Fact, Trying to Seduce You

Project Tasteless Challenge #6: Easy Like Sunday Morning Bangover 911

The last two challenges go together, and we also need to account for the upcoming holiday, so here’s how it’s going to work…

  • For the I Am, in Fact, Trying to Seduce You Challenge: Come up with a recipe designed to seduce. Fall in love. Boom out. Whatever. A sexy, romantic dinner for two (or three, depending on how you roll). It can be a main course, a dessert, or both! In either case, I’d like to hear a bit more about the fabulous date you have planned around this meal.
  • For the Easy Like Sunday Morning Bangover 911 Challenge: Come up with a breakfast recipe to be enjoyed the morning after your successful Challenge #5 recipe. Something to soothe that bangover. Here is the fun part: your breakfast recipe needs to include at least one ingredient from your dinner recipe. And it needs to include a main ingredient, not something like olive oil or, you know, salt. (See why I’m telling you both challenges at the same time?)

Now, because you have two recipes to make, I’m giving you an extension! Your entries for both challenges must be e-mailed to me by Sunday. Nov. 28 at 11:59 PM EST. (Just send one e-mail with both entries, please!) You have an extra week, so that should give you plenty of time to post an ad on Craigslist looking for someone to cook for. (Just kidding. You don’t have to actually cook for someone you’re trying to seduce — but don’t blame me if your roommate suddenly starts giving you the big eyes over dessert. Seriously, though, please don’t go on CL. I’ve been watching “Law & Order: SVU” for several hours from my sick bed and this is the exact kinda shit that would lead to a sex crime and then me being the blogger telling Benson and Stabler it was just supposed to be a fun competition and not my fault at approximately minute 9 of the episode. Anyway — CONSIDER THIS A DISCLAIMER.)

Because this is a double challenge, we’ll have double winners (sort of like the double rainbow guy!). That’s right — two winners will prosper in this challenge, and you will each be receiving your choice of exotic chocolate bar from Vosges.

We’ll choose two winners for this and later that week, we will also announce the winner of the entire Project Tasteless Challenge, chosen from those who have completed each challenge along the way!

Got it? Awesome. Let’s make some sexy food!

Man oh man! (heehee) I’m excited about this challenge. I think this whole challenge thing needs to happen again and soon. This is like a virtual play date for grown ups!

So glad you’re into it! I think it needs to happen once a month after this, like a book club.

Totally agree. This is the first time I’ve been motivated to cook in ages!

I support the once a month idea as well! Maybe ask for reader ideas if you start to run dry?

Why has it taken me so long to find your blog?! Why, oh why?

Don’t answer that :) I’m just glad I did. I think I’m gonna stand by on this one (flying solo at the moment) but I’ll definitely participate next time. That’s a promise.

Hmm as a single gal who hasn’t experienced one of these nights or mornings in longer than I can even remember (and if I did remember, it would be too embarrassing to admit), this might be tough. I’ll start thinking!
