Ouch.

by Rachel on March 25, 2011

The nagging pain in my wrist went from the just-during-push-ups thing it was last week to an all-day thing this week. Finally, a trip to urgent care last night revealed a strained wrist. The fix? This super-cool brace, prescription-strength Aleve, and instructions to rest it for the next week or so.

Typing one-handed? Isn’t efficient. Just a head’s up — next week we might be looking at a lot of vlogs.

That sucks. Did you injure yourself while doing push-ups?

I think so! That is when I first noticed the pain. Is that a common Core Fusion injury?

Not that I know of. It’s the one part I’ve never injured (knock on wood)!

Hmmm, it seems like some of your commenters are of like mind. I can think of at least a *handful* of ways you can strain a wrist.

I am neither a lefty nor a seventh grader! I resent the implication that this was caused by a love of the Handy J!

I broke my thumb once and had to wear a very similar brace. They called it a “Freedom Splint” which I found to be ironic…

Dude, I broke my wrist a couple weeks ago, and all forms of communication have become THE WORST. Mine is on my right wrist but the cast is that same shade of blue, so wincing, opposite-hand high five to you. Three more weeks of this mofo.

You should let Eric go ahead and do a guest post. This week Ryan surprised me with one of his own since my week was a total emotionally crippling blur of a mess.

I’m cool with the increase of vlogs! Yours always make me cackle.

Injuries suck, but you gotta bite the bullet. Rachel, why not get a brace for the other arm, then they would match as you do your aerobics, etc. You don’t want to be another michael jackson…
