Baby Give It Up to Me: Love Grown Granola

by Rachel on July 14, 2011

That? Is an empty bag of granola.

I ate all but the crumbs before I got around to writing a review — so that should tell you something!

I’m going to get right to it: this granola is delicious. I’m picky about granola because most is loaded with sugar, but Love Grown has relatively low sugar (6-7 g per serving) and is SO much tastier than Bare Naked Fit, which is my staple. They sent me a bunch of flavors to try, and the raisin almond crunch was my hands-down favorite — and my mom and Eric both discovered it in the pantry and loved it too.

I typically eat granola with Greek yogurt, but I preferred this granola straight out of the bag or cereal-style with milk. The raisin almond crunch tastes exactly like an oatmeal cookie, so I often had a few nibbles after dinner when I wanted a little something sweet or ate a handful when I had a carb craving. It was satisfying and filling, because the granola is super hearty.

Want some yet?

Good — Love Grown Foods is going to give ONE lucky person THREE bags of the granola for herself!

To enter to win, go to the Love Grown Foods website and look around. Then come back and leave a comment on this post telling me what your perfect breakfast involving Love Grown would be. Like, “I’d like to eat the raisin almond crunch atop Greek yogurt while on a balcony overlooking a Greek beach.” (Right?!) Or “I’d like to eat the simply oats granola plain with a glass of freshly-squeezed orange juice in California.”

You get the idea!

You have until Sunday July 17 at 11:59 PM PST to comment to enter! I’ll pick a winner at random and announce the winner next week.

Over and OUT!

I’d love to eat the Cocoa Goodness granola in a bowl with almond milk while laying on a beach in a tropical location with a good book in front of me.

2 Gaby July 14, 2011 at 1:46 pm

OO oo I’m first! Does that get me extra points? I’d like the Apple walnut with tons of raspberries and blueberries, in a bowl with super cold almond milk in a bowl larger than my head on a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean from a tiny French Riviera town (where I will be next week!!)

3 Claire @ Live and Love to Eat July 14, 2011 at 1:49 pm

I would definitely LOVE the chocolate on top of banana overnight oats.

4 Summer July 14, 2011 at 1:49 pm

All of their flavors sound delicious! I’d totally be down for munching a handful of the Sweet Cranberry before heading out the door for my Saturday long run. Then probably more when I got back home. Then again later as a snack. Cocoa Goodness with vanilla almond milk would also hit the spot, I’m sure.

5 Jes July 14, 2011 at 1:50 pm

I would love to take the simply oats or the cocoa goodness and mix it with applesauce for breakfast in Hawaii visiting my Brother, Sister-in-Law and 2 nephews (My bro is in the army and I have not seen him in a year.)

6 Lauren July 14, 2011 at 1:50 pm

I would like to eat the Cocoa goodness on top of some vanilla bean gelato on a steamy summer evening on a tropical beach…any tropical beach will do since my summer so far has consisted of 65 degree days!

7 Jennifer July 14, 2011 at 1:52 pm

I’d like to be spoon-fed Love Grown Foods granola (after being spooned) by a gorgeous man in a plush, king-sized bed at The Delano in Miami Beach.

Bet you can’t guess what we did before breakfast.

8 Jenna July 14, 2011 at 1:59 pm

Your examples sound pretty good to me! But I’d like to have the simply oats granola over a lemon chobani with strawberries, while laying in a hammock on a balcony overlooking a beach. Yep, that sounds about right.

9 joni July 14, 2011 at 2:00 pm

i’d like to eat the raisin almond crunch with some blue berries and greek yogurt for a snack at work, so my work day would be just a bit better.

10 Britney July 14, 2011 at 2:01 pm

I would love to eat any flavor of granola with my oatmeal – provided that it’s on a chilly morning with granola, oats, and coffee to warm me up! (The warm summer mornings with no AC is starting to get to me!)

11 Alli July 14, 2011 at 2:02 pm

sweet cranberry pecan over greek yogurt on my balcony with a giant iced coffee, after a solid run. perfection.

12 Mel July 14, 2011 at 2:06 pm

I’ll take one: raisin almond crunch served straight up in a bowl with almond milk and strawberries, eaten in bed with a good movie and a Half-Orange.

13 Toya July 14, 2011 at 2:07 pm

I’d like to eat the Raisin Almond Crunch granola mixed with Vanilla Bean Gelato while sitting in a chaise lounge on the waterside of Cinque Terre in Italy.

15 Selina July 14, 2011 at 2:10 pm

I would love the cocoa goodness mixed with your sorostitute oats first thing in the morning, on a private balcony with a cool breeze in the air and the sound of waves in the background. :)

16 Amy July 14, 2011 at 2:16 pm

I would love it mixed with almond milk while enjoying the sunrise on my balcony.

17 Meghan July 14, 2011 at 2:16 pm

I’d love to eat Love Grown Granola with pineapple and greek yogurt on a Saturday morning before hitting the beach… in Hawaii :)

19 Carrie July 14, 2011 at 2:44 pm

My eyes went IMMEDIATELY to the Cocoa Goodness.

Vanilla frozen yogurt, topped with strawberries and Cocoa Goodness granola, laying in a big comfy king sized bed, anywhere on vacation, brought to me by my hot hot boyfriend after having made mad sweet passionate love.

20 Michelle July 14, 2011 at 2:52 pm

I’ve been dying to try the cocoa goodness. It sounds like it will be delicious with some almond milk on my patio on a beautiful Denver morning.

21 Jacki July 14, 2011 at 3:06 pm

Mmmm, granola. Okay.

I would like a big bowl of the Sweet Cranberry Pecan mixed with Apple Walnut Delight, with fresh blueberries on top, with soy milk, on a balcony overlooking Bar Harbor, on a long summer weekend with my half-orange, possibly recovering from a bangover. He can eat bacon if he must, because that makes him a very happy half-orange.

22 Heather July 14, 2011 at 3:24 pm

You know I try and like it simple: Sweet Cranberry Pecan served in a big-ole-mug, with some almond milk….in bed…at approximentally 10:32….with the sweet boy next to me. Swoon.

[Sorry, I’m not sorry that smitten Heather just made an appearance ;) ]

23 AceRunn July 14, 2011 at 3:34 pm

My perfect morning would be the morning my son slept past 10….(ba dum bum) so that I could eat my banana, Greek yogurt, PB/AB cereal topped with Cocoa Goodness granola, because that stuff looks like the bomb diggity.

24 Lauren July 14, 2011 at 4:11 pm

I would love to eat it straight out of the bag while camping in the Grand Tetons! Maybe one day…

25 Becca July 14, 2011 at 4:23 pm

I’d love any flavor mixed in with some Greek yogurt and fresh fruit, MINUS the lactose intolerance! I’d eat it anywhere!

26 Lisa July 14, 2011 at 4:30 pm

I would take Raisin Almond Crunch and eat it in a bowl with milk…or many bowls with milk. Standing up. In my kitchen. (I’m have simple tastes.)

27 Pamela S. July 14, 2011 at 4:37 pm

I’m thinking some cocoa goodness sprinkled on some chocolate frozen yogurt while sitting on the beach in Maine would be one mighty fine way to up that yummy deliciousness.

28 kt July 14, 2011 at 5:00 pm

If not in Greece or Cali, I’d love to eat Cocoa Goodness with some yogurt or as part of dessert after a long day of retail therapy on the Mag Mile in Chicago!

29 Elizabeth July 14, 2011 at 5:01 pm

30 Lea July 14, 2011 at 5:07 pm

I’d like to eat the Sweet Cranberry Pecan Love Grown granola on top of a baked sweet potato (oh! or even as the topping for a sweet potato casserole!) in a toasty cabin on a snow-covered cabin. (I’ve been wanting to try Love Grown for a while now…thanks to you and Love Grown for holding a giveaway!)

31 Emily @ Relishments July 14, 2011 at 5:37 pm

I’d love to try cocoa goodness granola on top of vanilla greek yogurt while laying on a private beach in Hawaii !

33 Sarah July 14, 2011 at 6:22 pm

I’d pack the Apple Walnut Delight as a snack to eat (probably plain) just as my plane touched down on a new continent to explore with an old friend. I’d take the whole bag with me so that I could eat it wherever – backpacking, camping, whatever kind of adventure I was on!

34 christine July 14, 2011 at 6:33 pm

I looked at the website and I couldn’t decide what flavour I wanted. Simply Oats or Raisin Almond Crunch? Ohhh APPLE! They all sound so delicious. Anyway, I’d eat mine poured on top of a hot guys chest—what? This IS, after all.

35 Frances July 14, 2011 at 6:34 pm

I’d like to eat the Cocoa Goodness atop some oatmeal with lots of peanut butter (mmm) after a morning run on a California beach.

36 Tisha July 14, 2011 at 6:51 pm

41 Laura July 14, 2011 at 7:29 pm

this summer heat has made me seriously crave just straight up cereal + milk, so the cocoa goodness + almond milk would be DELISH. eaten in the comfort of my air conditioning, thank you very much.

42 Hima July 14, 2011 at 7:32 pm

I would love the Apple Walnut Delight + soy milk on a perfect fall morning in Michigan or New England to be followed by an outing at the orchard or exploring the fall foliage (with granola packed for a snack, of course).

43 MoneyMaus July 14, 2011 at 7:37 pm

I would love to eat the Cocoa Goodness with some vanilla rice milk on the rooftop of my apartment building on an early not-too-hot-or-humid-yet summer morning in NYC. With my Kindle by my side, of course!

44 CBarry @ Barry's Bites July 14, 2011 at 8:10 pm

I would love to try the cocoa goodness sitting in front of a fire in a log cabin in the dead of winter.

45 Chandra @ShiftC July 14, 2011 at 9:05 pm

After an hour long morning workout along Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, I’d enter my cozy beach house and consumer almond walnut delight mixed in a cup of plain yogurt..

46 Megan @ MegGoesNomNom July 14, 2011 at 9:37 pm

Cranberry pecan over Greek yogurt, drizzled with honey! Not terribly creative, but OH, so delicious.

47 Theresa July 14, 2011 at 9:46 pm

The perfect breakfast would be cocoa goodness over vanilla yogurt and strawberries on the first day of a beach vacation in Fiji. Granted, I’ve never had the breakfast combo nor have I been to Fiji, but it sounds pretty amazing!

48 Heidi Nicole July 14, 2011 at 9:47 pm

I’d take the Sweet Cranberry Pecan over some steelcut oats made by my gma, preferably eaten in a luxurious cabin in the Rocky Mountains, near a big picture window overlooking the surrounding snow capped awesome-ness.

Ahhh, if only…

49 Ana July 14, 2011 at 10:15 pm

I would eat sweet cranberry pecan with a half of cup of plain soy yogurt with a chai latte sitting by the river after a run along my favorite place in Boise ID, the greenbelt. (Think jogging path that follows the river through town for miles and miles.

I’d like to eat Cocoa Goodness after a terrific run along the streets of San Francisco!

i’d eat the granola with a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream while reading a really good thriller book in bed. =]

54 Claire July 15, 2011 at 2:17 am

OMG this looks delicious.

I would fill a bowl to the top with sweet cranberry pecan (God, that looks good) and mix in a little goat milk. I would add some fresh fruit–mangoes, preferably– and then eat it all while lying on the beach in Dakar, Senegal, as the waves lapped at the shore.

55 Danielle July 15, 2011 at 7:13 am

61 Jessica July 15, 2011 at 10:26 am

I’d totes go for some Rasin Almond Crunch with some coconut milk, in bed, nekkid, nursing my bangover.

Or, you know, some CocoGoodness snuggled into the couch cushions watching some HGTV on an early (10am duh) Saturday morning.

62 Terri July 15, 2011 at 10:29 am

I don’t usually comment…just creep and read everyone else’s comments :) But I think the Raisin Almond straight out of the bag while sitting at my job pretending to work would be great!

I’d love to eat the Cocoa Goodness granola with freezing cold milk while sitting in front of the fireplace in my snuggie!

64 Dani July 15, 2011 at 11:10 am

I’d love to eat the sweet cranberry pecan version as a topping on a baked apple, snuggled with my honey on a beach-front porch swing on a cool summer night, listening to the waves crashing in .

65 Jenny July 15, 2011 at 11:15 am

72 Bianca @ Confessions of a Chocoholic July 16, 2011 at 5:04 pm

i would love to eat the cocoa goodness granola with sliced bananas, almond butter, and extra chunks of dark chocolate with almond milk, cornflakes, and some hot cocoa powder poured into that, in the sun, in the woods (surrounded by sequoias), with blue shining skies. is that too much to ask?

while we’re at it, why don’t i just throw a scruffy ryan gosling into the picture. yeah he’d be sitting there eating granola too.

76 Sara July 17, 2011 at 3:41 am

I’d like to just munch on it alone. With, of course, a nice cup of coffee. :)

77 Tammy July 17, 2011 at 10:17 am

I would like to eat the Cocoa Goodness oats while blasting across the alkali flats in a jet-powered, monkey-navigated Mercedes.

81 Cate July 17, 2011 at 11:30 am

I would probably go for the simply oats on top of Greek yogurt with strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries mixed in! and if I could be eating that breakfast with my family on vacation it would be even better :)

82 Anna July 17, 2011 at 11:33 am

Cocoa goodness, straight from the bag, at a movie theater watching Harry Potter 7 part two.

83 Claire July 18, 2011 at 1:14 pm

Cocoa Goodness on top of greek yogurt with a banana and coffee on the side. YUM!!

It would be particularly good waking up on a camping day too lol ;)

84 Michele July 19, 2011 at 10:25 am

I would LOVE to try any of these because I have heard such good things about them. I would probably just eat it straight from the bag standing in my kitchen… as soon as I get it. :)
